Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham will temporarily pause intake while our staff participates in our annual retreat. This time allows our team to review our programs, evaluate our services, and plan for 2027 as we prepare to continue meeting the legal needs of our community in the year ahead.

During this temporary intake pause, our phone services will remain available for non-emergency legal matters and general inquiries. Please note that we may be unable to provide assistance with urgent or time-sensitive legal issues during this period.

Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham will resume online intake services on September 8, 2026. Once online intake reopens, individuals seeking assistance may submit a new inquiry for review through our normal intake process.
